Join the Common Reading Selection Committee

The Common Reading Selection Committee is looking to identify a student from the University Honors Program who may be interested in serving this committee that selects the annual freshman reading.

Below are the expectations and benefits for participating.


Committee members are asked to:
1 – Lightly review about 6 books over the summer (read online reviews, etc.). (Done remotely)
2 – Attend approximately 3 meetings during fall semester. (Face to face)
3 – Complete a deeper review of approximately 4 books in October/November (Done remotely)
4 – Actively participate in the selection process – attend the meetings, respond to final on-line votes, etc. (Both FTF and remotely)


Participation benefits:
1 – Have voice in selecting the common reading for the freshman class of 2016
2 – Meet faculty, staff, and others from across campus
3 – Meet with the author during Wolfpack Welcome Week, and receive a signed copy of the selected book.
