Vishwas Rao awarded Fulbright Grant

Vishwas is a Park Scholar majoring in chemistry and minoring in music and Spanish. He is a 2016 Goldwater Scholar and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the University Honors Program. He has performed with the Raleigh Civic Chamber Orchestra and NCSU Sangeet since 2014.

He was awarded a research/study grants for Canada. His project title: Identifying Potential Adjuvants for the Inhibition of Antibiotic Resistance Enzymes. His country affiliation: Dr. Gerard Wright, McMaster University

In 2016 Vishwas was a Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship recipient.

Counting the 6 recipients this year, 67 NC State students and alumni have been awarded Fulbright grants since its inception in 1946 and 27 students and alumni have been awarded Fulbright grants since 2012.
